at Burbank Music Academy is a wonderful way to introduce your young child to the gift of music. Bond with your child as you play, sing, dance, and laugh together. Your child will learn and grow through activities that stimulate brain growth, build motor skills, enhance social and emotional development, and much more. The field of Early Childhood Music Education at Burbank Music Academy involves parent and teacher guided interactive musical play for young children. The idea is to provide babies, toddlers and pre-school aged children with a safe, fun and nurturing musical environment. Our classes are divided into four basic groups:
Adagio - 7-18 months- Classes focus on mobility, language, parental involvement and hands on activities.
Andante - 18 months- 2 1/2 years- Classes focus on interaction, singing, sharing and hands on activities.
Allegro - 2 1/2 to 4 years- Classes focus on interaction including remembering names of instruments and musical terms, singing, sharing and hands on activities that usually include trying instruments.
Maestro - 4-6 years- Classes focus on individuality, interaction, sharing, hand on activities and introduces the idea of performance and playing together.
Class size - Minimum 2, Maximum 12
Class length - Jr. Jams classes are 40 minutes in length with a 10 minute warm up and a 10 minute clean up time for a total class length of approximately 60 minutes.
Free trial class- The first class is always FREE Come give it a try.
Packages- After the first free class the enrollment packages are as follows: 6 classes for $120 or 12 classes for $220. There is no specific "start time" for a group class, kids can join at any point. Parents should call ahead to reserve a spot.
No shoes in class- Parents, teachers and students should have no shoes and should be wearing socks in the class room at all times. Very young babies who don't walk are an exception.
